Technologies at Our Dental Clinic

At Valley Centre Dental Clinic, the technology we use helps to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run smoothly and efficiently. Because we can display digital x-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth and discuss your treatment plan with you.

Our goal is to provide patients with efficient, cooperative dental care, and make sure they are well-informed about their oral health. Dental technology helps us do that.

Digital X-Rays

Instead of traditional photographic x-ray film, digital x-rays now use digital sensors to produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions, allowing your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye. Digital x-rays help us provide highly effective, efficient diagnosis and treatment.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic x-rays are often used to help plan treatments for extractions, braces, dentures and implants. These x-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus structures.

Soft Tissue Dental Lasers

At Valley Centre Dental Clinic, our dentists use dental lasers (extremely focused light beams) in a variety of soft tissue procedures, typically for healing and repair purposes. They allow our dentists to perform dental procedures such as reshaping gums, treating periodontal disease or lengthening crowns while reducing pain, along with limiting the need for medical interventions. Using soft tissue lasers, we are able to provide excellent care.

Intraoral Scanners

Intraoral scanners produce digital dental impressions - an ideal alternative to traditional dental impressions, which can be time consuming and messy to take. Your dentist simply uses an optical scanning wand to create a digital image of your teeth within minutes. This device allows your dentist to capture extremely accurate data to create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.
